Photography

We have for many years taken photographs at our yoga events as memories to share with our members. In recent years we have shared some of those photographs with others via our website and social media accounts. This has been the general trend throughout our industry as a way of both promoting Iyengar Yoga and to share teaching methods. The following text describes how we respect your privacy in this regard:

We appreciate not every attendee wishes to be included in photographs, especially if those photographs are to be made public. To ensure we respect your wishes and protect your privacy, we ask you to notify us by email (contact details below). As an additional precaution, we recommend you position your mat away from the teacher and any students used for demonstration.

We respectfully ask attendees not to take photographs unless we have given our prior consent.

If you are attending Iyengar Centres elsewhere, we recommend you contact them to confirm their policy. It is common practice for photographs to be taken at Conventions and IYUK display notices asking attendees to let them know if they do not want their photo taken.
